A State-of-the-Art Library in Gilbert: Exploring the Southeast Regional Library
The Southeast Regional Library opened its doors in April of 1999 and has since been providing residents of Gilbert, Arizona with a state-of-the-art facility for accessing books, periodicals, audiovisual materials, and other media. Located on the southeast corner of Guadalupe and Greenfield Road, adjacent to the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch—a 110 acre park and wildlife preserve—this 66,000 square foot facility offers a variety of services and activities for people of all ages. Location & Logistics
The Southeast Regional Library is located conveniently close to downtown Gilbert, on the outskirts of the Riparian Preserve at Water Ranch. This makes it easily accessible by both car and public transit; it also provides patrons with plenty of parking spaces if they choose to drive. The library itself is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 8pm and Saturday from 9am – 5pm.
Materials & Resources
The Southeast Regional Library offers patrons 170,700 materials in all formats including books (fiction and nonfiction), magazines, newspapers, audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, video games, and eBooks. All materials may be borrowed for free either by visiting the library or via their website which allows patrons to request certain items online. In addition to these resources, there are also numerous computers available for patrons who need access to Internet or word processing programs. There are also activity computers specifically designed for children as well as programming opportunities for kids who want to learn more about technology or reading skills.
Programming & Events
In addition to offering materials in all formats and computer access/activity computers for children, the Southeast Regional Library also organizes numerous programming events throughout the year.
